Origin of KJRM
The relationship between KKR and KJRM
KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) is one of the world's largest alternative asset management firms, founded in the United States in 1976.
KKR has bases around the world, including in North America, Europe, and Asia, and is actively investing in the Asian market in particular, so KKR Japan was established as a Japanese subsidiary in 2006.
KKR positions the Japanese real estate market as one of the most important in the world, and used its own balance sheet to acquire all shares of our company (formerly Mitsubishi Corp.-UBS Realty Inc.) in 2022. We changed our company name to "KJR Management" and became a member of the KKR Group.
By combining KKR's strengths with our own, we aim to strengthen our presence in the Japanese market and achieve long-term growth.
The meaning and logo of KJRM
In 2025, KJR Management transitioned to a structure where KJRM Holdings (formerly 76 KK), a parent company wholly owned by the KKR Group, is the holding company, with KJR Management managing J-REITs and KJRM Private Solutions managing private funds. These three companies are collectively referred to as "KJRM."
KJRM stands for KKR Japan Realty Management.
The KJRM logo features the tips of the K and J connected to represent partnership and teamwork. The design of the dynamic J represents the potential of "JAPAN."
